Terms & Conditions

  • Subject to the following terms and conditions, Changi Rewards points (“Points”) shall be awarded to the Changi Rewards members (“Members”) for bookings made on www.expedia.com.sg/changirewards between 30 July 2015 and 30 June 2016, for stays between 30 July 2015 and 30 June 2016 (“Booking”) (“Promotion”).
  • Members must make their Booking via the dedicated landing page at www.expedia.com.sg/changirewards. Members must enter a valid Changi Rewards card number (“Card Number”) and the name of the guest must tally with the name of the Member as registered with Changi Rewards.
  • The Points will be credited to Members’ accounts by the 20th of the month immediately following the month they have checked-out from their hotel stays.
  • The rate of Points awarded is based on the Changi Rewards membership tier of the Member, at the relevant time of Booking. With a minimum nett spend of S$10 in a single transaction and upon entry of the Card Number upon Booking, the Member will be awarded with Points equivalent to the net amount spent (excluding taxes and fees, including but not limited to merchant fees), rounded down to the nearest dollar.
  • During this Promotion, Points accrued shall be at the rate of:
    • Two (2) Points for each S$1 Net Booking Value for Changi Rewards entry tier Members
    • Four (4) Points for each S$1 Net Booking Value for Changi Rewards Gold tier Members
    • Six (6) Points for each S$1 Net Booking Value for Changi Rewards Platinum tier Members
  • Unless otherwise specified, Points will not be awarded to Members who elect to use other discounts, promotions or discounted items.
  • This Promotion is only applicable to Bookings made from certain participating merchants hotels only, as marked “Expedia Rate”.
  • Points awarded pursuant to the Promotion can only be earned by one Member per booking and cannot be split between two or more Members.
  • Points earned in connection with this Promotion are non-transferable.
  • Points cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.
  • Any amount(s) spent on the Bookings is not accrued towards the cumulative nett spend for Members under the Changi Rewards Gold or Platinum tier membership qualification. Cumulative nett spend for tier qualification is only based on qualifying purchases at participating Changi Airport outlets.
  • Unless otherwise specified, any Points awarded pursuant to the Promotion are on the basis of the amount spent on the accommodation component of the stay, and not on ancillary charges such as meals, mini-bar, beverages, phone, laundry or other extra costs charged to the room account.
  • Changi Rewards points awarded pursuant to the Promotion, must be redeemed within three (3) months after the end of the programme year (i.e. before end June of the relevant calendar year), failing which they will expire automatically, as set forth in the Changi Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. No request for extension of expiry will be entertained. The use and/or conversion of points may be subject to further terms and conditions or restrictions and CAG may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, modify, suspend or terminate the Programme, and/or modify these terms & conditions in such manner as CAG considers fit.
  • The Promotion is further subject to the terms and conditions of the Changi Rewards Programme. For the avoidance of doubt, these terms and conditions are supplemental to the terms and conditions of the Changi Rewards Programme.
  • Members are advised to carefully read the terms and conditions of Expedia, as well as any other conditions of suppliers as set out, before making their bookings.
  • In the event of disputes, the decisions of AAE Travel Pte Ltd and Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd shall be final.
  • By participating in this Promotion, Members give consent for Expedia.com.sg to share details of the travel booking with CAG, and for CAG to send Members news on the latest offers and promotions, including but not limited to offers and promotions relevant to Members’ intended destination.

  • What is the rate of points earned?

    The rate of Changi Rewards points awarded is based on your Changi Rewards membership tier, at the relevant time of booking of hotel stay. With a minimum nett spend of S$10 in a single transaction (not inclusive of hotel tax and service charges) and upon entry of a valid Changi Rewards Card number at the time of booking, you will earn points equivalent to the amount spent, rounded down to the nearest dollar. Points will be credited to your account by the 20th of the month immediately following the month you have departed from your hotel stays. Points accrue at the rate of two Points for each S$1 nett spent for Changi Rewards entry tier Members. Gold tier Members earn 2x Changi Rewards points (S$1 = 4 points) and Platinum tier Members earn 3x Changi Rewards points (S$1 = 6 points).
     
  • Are all hotel bookings on expedia eligible to earn Changi Rewards points?

    This Promotion is only applicable to EXPEDIA bookings made from certain participating merchants (prepaid) hotels only.
     
  • Is my spend on the hotel stay accrued toewards the cumulative nett spend for Changi Rewards Gold or Platinum tier membership qualification?

    No. Any amount spent on Expedia bookings is not accrued towards the cumulative nett spend for Members under the Changi Rewards Gold or Platinum tier membership qualification. Cumulative nett spend for tier qualification is only based on qualifying purchases at participating Changi Airport outlets.
